Saquon Barkely may only be a sophomore at Penn State, but he’s already making major moves. Barkely has been putting in work on the field since his days walking the halls of Whitehall High School. In his senior year alone the Running back managed to score 31 touchdowns and run over 1800 yards. Once he committed to Penn State, he became even hungrier and brought that same work ethic to Beaver Stadium.
He suffered from injuries his freshman year, but didn’t let that hinder him from scoring seven touchdowns and running thousands of yards. In true Barkley fashion, he entered Sophomore year with the same powerful energy as he continued to run circles around his opponents. The twenty-year-old is steadily racking up awards and earning top rankings. He’s currently ranked the number one college running back in the nation, beating Derrius Guice of LSU and Bo Scarbrough Alabama for the top spot. If he keeps up his phenomenal work, which it seems he will based on his track record, this player is well on his way to professional team.
